On July 26, 2024, the second glass fiber production line in China Jushi Huai'an Carbon-neutral Intelligent Manufacturing Base was successfully put into operation. Shi Zhijun, Secretary of the Huai'an Municipal Party Committee, Gu Kun, Mayor of Huai’an Municipality, Yang Guoming, President of Jushi, and other officials and business leaders jointly started up the furnace of the line. Secretary Shi and President Yang jointly inaugurated the line. Zhao Zhenglan, Zhang Chonglin, Hong Ran, as well as other officials from the Huai'an municipal government and Lianshui city government attended the inauguration ceremony and toured the new production line. Other Jushi executives including Cao Guorong and Shen Lin were also present at the ceremony.
The start of production of the second line in the Huai'an base represents a significant step for Jushi to develop new productive forces. It is also a production line built to meet market demand and supersede the production capacity that has been closed. The construction of the base has been progressing steadily since its inception in early 2023. Now the first two lines have started operation, demonstrating once again the high "Jushi speed."
In addition, the first batch of wind turbine generators in the supporting wind power project of the Huai'an carbon-neutral intelligent base were connected to the grid for power generation this year. As a result, the carbon emissions reduction is estimated to exceed 400,000 tons per year. This pioneering move made Jushi the first firm in the industry to utilize wind power, which is generated from a wind plant operated by ourselves using blades containing Jushi fiberglass, for producing high-performance glass fiber for various applications including wind energy.
